In our last Southside Talanoa Series event, we are super excited to be hosting a SOUTHSIDE QUIZ NIGHT at the iconic Star Hotel in Ōtāhuhu!
Here, talanoa takes the form of knowledge exchange, and specifically local knowledge – how well do you know South Auckland? Where do you find the notorious Yokum Burger? If you have a three bedroom house and a double garage, how many bedrooms to you have?!
Build a team, get ready for the lolz, study those Michael Jackson / Bob Marley lyrics, and test your local knowledge in the surrounds of one of Ōtāhuhu’s oldest establishments!
Our wonderful MC Yolande Ah Chong will transform in Quiz Mistress Lande for the night! We’ve had such an awesome time sharing talanoa with our communities since August and this event is an opportunity to celebrate the end of the series.
The Southside Talanoa Series has been produced with support from Auckland Council as part of the Pacific Arts programme.
